Dark Romance was a styled shoot that started as a feather and pearl concept but the elements hadn’t come together until we (Jaqui from Lily & Wild Photography and I) walked into the venue, Simon’s at Groot Constantia. We knew immediately that this was the venue to pull off our vision… so much glamour and drama creating the perfect backdrop for our feathers and pearls. The venue needed very little in the way of décor and flowers as it is very ornate in design with its plush chairs and dusty pinks and blues … oh and let’s not forget the bold floral prints on the walls.

Forever Frosted was a styled shoot that was came to life through a crazy moment between Jaqui from Lily & Wild Photography and myself. Such a fabulous idea to do a styled shoot in the snow… how pretty, how romantic. Lets just do a massive mic drop moment called reality! What a difficult shoot this was! Having everyone on standby to see if the snow predicted was actually has heavy as expected kept us all on our toes. It was the third attempt that we actually managed to get up to Matroosberg for the shoot. Working in the snow is not an easy thing to do (especially not when you sporting a massive pregnant belly) but we did it and I thing the end result is satisfactory to us and was good enough to be published.
